Festivities in Loja

In Loja there are a lot of popular festivities, which I am going to describe as follows:

In February, people in my town celebrate a festivity known as "La Candelaria". In it, a few days before it takes place, people look for sticks and put one on top of the others and on 2nd February they burn them and after that they have a barbecue, on this day it is typical to eat a bread thread.

El Caminito del Rey

“The King's little pathway” was initially built as an access route. It enabled workers at the hydroelectric power plants of El Chorro Gorge and Gaitanes Gorge to have an easier way to transport materials, maintain and inspect the workings of the two power plants. The construction of the “walkway” began in 1901 and was finished in 1905. In 1921 King Alfonso XIII visited and walked along the path for the inauguration of the Conde del Guadalhorce dam and since that time it became known as the “King's path".

Loja's Holy Week

It's, undoubtedly, the most important manifestation of popular culture of Loja, and it's based on the devout tradition of a large part of the society of this city, as their devotion for the Jesus' Passion  of Nazareth is taken out to the street in a aesthetic, artistic and cultural performance. This celebration was declared of National Tourist Interest of Andalusia.

Unique holidays: A holiday in India

           That summer my friends and I went on a trip around India. We left from Málaga to Turkey and from Turkey to New Delhi two hours later because there were no direct flights.

Zujaira est un petit village près de Grenade : il y a 20 kilomètres entre Zujaira et la capitale. Ce village compte 916 habitants.

UN ÉVENEMENT CULTUREL – SEMAINE SAINTE DE LOJA

Les vacances de Pâques sont très importantes dans mon village, qui s´appelle Loja, qui est dans la province de Grenade.

Loja

Je vis à Loja il y a 26 ans.

Tocón

Mon village : Tocón

Tocon, c’est un petit village. Il est à 35 km de Grenade. J’ai vécu toute ma vie au même endroit. Il a moins de 1500 habitants. Ses gens sont sympa. La vie est très tranquille.

Huétor-Tájar

J’habite à Huétor-Tájar depuis 17 ans. Je suis très contente ici parce que c’est calme. Huétor est un petit village. Il a 20.000 habitants plus ou moins.

Loja

Loja est très belle. Elle est entre deux montagnes et par elle passe une rivière qui s’appelle « Genil ».

Salar

J’habite à Salar. C’est un petit village près de Loja. J’ai habité là-bas depuis que je suis née parce que mes parents ont vécu là toute leur vie.

Torredonjimeno

Dans ma vie, j’ai habité à Torredonjimeno, dans la province de Jaén, à Cordoue et finalement maintenant, j’habite à Grenade. Je crois que Grenade est super ! Je vais m’expliquer…

Churriana de la Vega

Je suis née à Cordoue et j’ai habité dans plusieurs lieux. Maintenant, j’habite à Churriana de la Vega, un petit village près de Grenade.

Huétor-Tájar

Quand je suis arrivée à Huétor-Tájar, cela fait dix ans, la première chose que j’ai pensé c’est que nous étions revenus chez nous, puisque nous avions habité à Aguadulce et pour moi revenir à nouveau  à Grenade était très important car mes enfants allaient avoir leurs cousins à côté d’eux.

Mon village – La Viña

Je suis d’un village qui s’appelle La Viña : il est petit et relativement près de Loja, à 23 kilomètres. Maintenant j’habite à Loja, mais j’y vais toutes les semaines. C’est un village où il y a peu de choses à faire et à voir, mais c’est très joli, accueillant et tranquille.

La race ovine « lojeña »

À part sa tradition agricole, Loja conserve et se caractérise par l’élevage des moutons appartenant à la race qui est nommée de la même manière que le gentilé des habitants de la ville.

Je voudrais vous raconter l’impression que j’ai éprouvée lors de l’événement qui a eu lieu jeudi dernier dans la salle d’activités de Caja Rural à Grenade.

Estación de Salinas

Je voudrais vous parler de ma ville, Estación de Salinas. J´ai la grande chance d´habiter dans une petite ville qui est calme et qui compte peu de personnes. D´un autre côté, c´est vrai qu´il n´y a pas de monuments historiques mais si vous aimez la fête, je vous dirai la meilleure fête que nous célébrons là-bas.

I live in a house in the countryside near Alfarnate. Alfarnate is a small village of Malaga and it has a population of about 1200 inhabitants. Alfarnate is part of the Axarquía area.

Los Tajos de Alhama

The natural scenes of Alhama are one of its main attractions. In addition to its wide plains and karstic shapes, Alhama is famous for its Natural Monument Los Tajos de Alhama, which was catalogued as Natural Monument in 2011.
